    Hill's c/d - Multicare - Prescription Diet - Feline

Hill's Feline c/d Multicare helps to maintain a healthy urinary tract and has been specially formulated as a long-term or life-long diet for cats with struvite related FLUTD. It reduces the risk of recurring urinary crystals or bladder stones. For idiopathic cystitis (urinary tract infection), Feline c/d Multicare pouches and canned food are particularly helpful.

Another version of Hill's c/d food is Hill's c/d Urinary Stress Feline, which contains additional ingredients (including L-Tryptophan and milk protein hydrolysate) specially designed to control stress, as stress is one of the main causes of bladder infections in cats. Furthermore, there is a reduced calorie version available: Hill's c/d Urinary Stress Reduced Calorie Feline, designed for overweight cats and cats susceptible to obesity.

Also available in Hill's c/d Multicare - Prescription Diet - Feline - Tin and Hill's c/d Multicare - Prescription Diet - Feline - Meal pouch

    Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease

Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease (FLUTD) is a condition often associated with the formation of crystals in the urinary tract, which can lead to discomfort and illness in your cat. There are two types of crystals that are most commonly formed in the urinary tract of a cat, struvite and oxalate. Struvite crystals are formed in abnormally alkaline urine which is saturated with magnesium, ammonium and phosphorus.

    Key benefits

    • Added salt, required to increase the urine volume, is limited, minimising the load on the kidneys.
    • The high level of antioxidants improves the neutralisation of free radicals.

    Not suitable for:

Kittens (up to 1 year old), pregnant or lactating cats and those receiving urinary acidifiers at the same time.
