    Royal Canin Hypoallergenic Dog

The protein source is hydrolysed isolated soy protein. Royal Canin Hypoallergenic Dog is hypoallergenic (rarely causes a hypersensitivity reaction) and is very easy to digest. The composition ensures minimal loss of fluids through the skin and enhances the protective function of the skin. Omega-3 fatty acids (EPA/DHA) have an anti-inflammatory effect. The combination of fructooligosaccharides (FOS) and zeolite (a specific mineral) promotes a balanced intestinal flora and helps protect the intestinal wall. Royal Canin Hypoallergenic Dog is gluten and lactose free.

Also available in Royal Canin Hypoallergenic Dog wet food.

    Recommended for:

    Food hypersensitivity

  • Palatable and effective treatment
By Tracy, Wednesday 8 November 2017

The range is good, as for my senior dog I wanted a reduced calorie option which this range provides. Both dry foods are a good sized kibble which is good as food and treats on his walk, for training which is ongoing. my dog gets very excited about food so frequently goes to his food box and looks at me. This has stayed as ardent with this food which my vet recommended for his latest flare of irritable bowel disease, as the gastro food was not working as well as hoped. The wet food is smooth and easy to use with his medication and enterogenic supplements and he loves the taste. The bowl always cleaned totally every meal. Expensive but worth it for a happy dog with now normal stools. I will keep him on this now indefinitely.

I used this as my vet recommended when my dogs IBD flared again and did not settle even after antibiotics and the gastro food. He loved it and I would have been happy to stay on it but as there is a moderate calorie option and my dog is over 8 and has arthritis I moved him onto that version. Both foods are excellent but the standard kibble size is bigger than the moderate calorie. Both are fine to use for training and treats but the smaller kibble is better for the toys where I hide the food and my dog has to move the toy to get the food to fall out. I use the wet food too in the evening with enterogenic sachets to add gastro support which works well. The dry food comes in small bags 2kgs and 1.5kgs moderate calorie so easy to keep fresh as I only have 1 dog. Tins from this site are available in 200grams which also works better for me. Good food and good site.
