Royal Canin Hypoallergenic Moderate Calorie Dog

Royal Canin Hypoallergenic Moderate Calorie Dog is suitable for dogs with food sensitivities, dogs with a tendency of gaining weight and overweight or obese dogs. This diet food has the same qualities as Royal Canin Hypoallergenic Dog, but has a moderate calorie and energy content to help your dog reach or maintain their optimal weight.

    Royal Canin Hypoallergenic

Food hypersensitivity occurs when a dog or cat is allergic to a particular ingredient in the diet. The component in the diet which causes the hypersensitive response is referred to as the allergen. In the treatment of food allergies your vet will prescribe your dog a special diet feed such as Royal Canin Hypoallergenic Dog. The protein source is hydrolysed isolated soy protein. Royal Canin Hypoallergenic Dog is hypoallergenic (rarely causes a hypersensitivity reaction).

Royal Canin Hypoallergenic is very easy to digest and contains prebiotics in the form of fructooligosaccharides (FOS) that supports the digestive system. The combination of vitamins and amino acids help support and strengthen the barrier effect of the skin, the omega 3 fatty acids suport healthy skin and a shiny coat and the moderate levels of phosphorus help support healthy kidney function. Moreover, Royal Canin Hypoallergenic Dog is free of both gluten and lactose.

  • Excellent product for sensitive tummies

I started using this 12 weeks ago with the standard hypoallergenic kibble for my dogs upset tummy as the gastro food was not working as it had before. I wanted the moderate calorie option as my dog is very food orientated, He has arthritis so balancing a healthy weight and a happy satisfied dog is challenging when their food intake is restricted; he was only allowed this food for at least 6 weeks. By using the moderate calorie after the first couple of weeks I could give him a little more food so could carry on games and training that he enjoys without giving him too much. He loves the food, always looking for more and his tummy has settled really well. As this is good for skin issues we have also noticed his coat is better than ever, soft and shiny and he is less itchy generally and has less weeping from his eyes. The biggest bonus appears to be his anal glands issue which is much better since the food change. Early days on this but so far a very positive experience. The food is expensive but worthwhile as I now have a happy dog and less vet visits.
