    Alpramil Deworming Dog

    Alpramil anthelmintic, whose active ingredients are milbemycin and praziquantel, is a broad-spectrum anthelmintic and can be used for the treatment of mixed infections with adult cestodes (tapeworms), nematodes (roundworms) and can also be used for heartworm prevention.

    Alpramil Deworming is available in 3 concentrations, so an appropriate dosage can be found for every weight. To also treat small dogs, the tablet with the lowest concentration, in this case the 5 mg / 50 mg, is divisible.

    Indications

    • Treatment of infections with adult tapeworms (Dipylidium caninum, Taenia spp., Echinococcus spp. and Mesocestoides spp.)
    • Treatment of infections with adult roundworms: hookworms (Ancylostoma caninum), roundworms (Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina), whipworms (Trichuris vulpis)
    • Reduction of the infection level of lungworms (Crenosoma vulpis)
    • Reduction of infection level by immature adult and adult stages of French heartworm (Angiostrongylus vasorum)
    • Treatment of infections by eye worm (Thelazia callipaeda)

    How to use Alpramil Deworming

    Alpramil Deworming is given orally via the mouth. You give the tablet with or after some food. For a correct dosage, it is important to weigh your dog. Depending on your dog's weight, choose the right tablet strength.

    Alpramil Small Dog is divisible

    The 5 mg/50 mg tablet is divisible into halves and quarters to ensure accurate dosing. To break the tablet, place it on a flat surface with the break mark facing up and the rounded, convex side facing the surface
    For halves: press both sides of the tablet with your thumbs.
    For quarters: press with your thumb in the centre of the tablet.

    Dosage

    The minimum recommended dosage is a single oral administration of 0.5 mg milbemycin oxime and 5 mg praziquantel per kg body weight.

    Depending on your dog's weight, several tablet choices are sometimes available. When in doubt, consult your vet for the correct dosage or refer to the leaflet for more information.

    Do not use with

    • Alpramil Small Dog 5 mg/50 mg tablet: do not use in dogs weighing less than 0.5 kg.
    • Alpramil Medium/Large Dog 12.5 mg/125 mg tablet: do not use in dogs weighing less than 5 kg.
    • Alpramil Large Dog 20 mg/200 mg tablet: do not use in dogs weighing less than 8 kg.
    • Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active ingredients or any of the excipients.
