Beaphar Bird Wormer
Beaphar Bird Wormer (previously called Ascapinal or Worminal) is a veterinary medicine to combat roundworms and hairworms. The medication is exempted from registration.
The product is available in two forms (10 or 100 ml):
Beaphar Bird Wormer - 10 ml
- Drops for oral use.
- Suitable for caged, aviary birds and chickens.
- Do not use during growth, laying periods and moulting periods.
- Do not use in sick or weakened animals, or during pregnancy and lactation.
Instructions
Beaphar Bird Wormer 10 ml is suitable for individual dosage, administered straight into the beak or mixed with drinking water. Dosage per 12.5 grams of bird weight is 1 drop (= 0.5 mg of Levamisole).

- Remove any bath water.
- Mix 30 drops with 50 ml drinking water, dose according to drinking water required.
- Give this solution as the only drinking water for all birds for 24 hours.
- Repeat treatment after two weeks.
Beaphar Bird Wormer - 100ml
- Drops for oral use.
- Suitable for caged and aviary birds and ornamental poultry.
- Do not use during growth, laying periods and moulting periods.
- Do not use in sick or weakened animals, or during pregnancy and lactation.
- Do not use in animals used for consumption or whose eggs are used for consumption.
Dosage in drinking water
Beaphar Bird Wormer 100 ml is suitable for dosage in drinking water.
- Remove any bath water.
- Mix 7.5 ml Beaphar Bird Wormer with 250 ml drinking water (30 ml per litre of drinking water), dose according to drinking water required.
- Give this solution as the only drinking water for all birds for 24 hours.
- Repeat treatment after two weeks

Side effects
In rare cases, side effects may include nausea, vomiting, stomach aches, dizziness, headaches, agitation and drooling. Should you pet show any of these symptoms, stop and only resume treatment after a number of days. If you observe severe side effects or other reactions, please notify your veterinarian.
Safety precautions
The waiting period for the consumption of eggs after a worm treatment is at least one week. Keep out of reach of children. Wash hands after use.
