Characteristics
Javanees
Temperament
The Javanese has a typical Oriental character and temperament. It is extroverted in its behaviour: this possessive cat follows its owner everywhere, much like a dog. It knows exactly how to attract attention. The Javanese is athletic and, when outdoors, proves to be a true hunter. This chatterbox has a melodious voice. Javanese cats have an easy-to-maintain coat and enjoy being brushed.
Physical characteristics
Colour
The Javanese’s coat should be solid in colour. It shares the same colour variations as the Oriental Shorthair. Shaded or tabby patterns are undesirable.

The Javanese has a long, slender, and very graceful body with well-developed muscles. Its legs are also long and fine, proportionate to the rest of the body. The paws are small and oval. The Javanese has a long, fine tail, which remains slender even at the base and narrows further towards the tip.
Head, ears, and eyes
The Javanese has a medium-sized, triangular head with a slightly domed skull. The muzzle is delicate. The nose is long, straight, and follows the line of the forehead. The chin is medium-sized. The large ears are broad at the base and quite pointed. Javanese cats have medium-sized, almond-shaped eyes that are slightly slanted towards the nose. The eye colour is bright green. Colourpoint and white Javanese cats have dark blue eyes.

The Javanese has a fine and silky coat. The fur is medium-long on the body, with slightly longer hairs around the collar, shoulders, and tail. The undercoat is not woolly. The Javanese has a plume-like tail.
