Advantages of clumping cat litter

Clumping cat litter, such as Gritty, has excellent absorbent properties, which cause clumps to form in the litter box upon contact with urine. These clumps can easily be scooped out, keeping the litter box much cleaner for a longer period compared to other types of cat litter. Additionally, this type of cat litter helps reduce unpleasant odors.

The use of clumping cat litter is not recommended for kittens, as kittens tend to put the clumps in their mouths.

How often should I clean my litter box?

It is recommended to scoop out all the clumps from the litter box daily and replace the entire litter every four days. It is also important to regularly clean the litter box with a special litter box cleaner. It is not recommended to clean the litter box with cleaning products not intended for litter boxes. Other cleaning products may contain substances that are toxic to your cat.

Other types of cat litter

In addition to clumping cat litter, there are also other types available on the market, such as natural cat litter and silica gel cat litter. Every cat has different needs, including when it comes to cat litter.
