Product Description
Diafarm Cat Malt
Diafarm Cat Malt prevents the formation of hairballs in cats and also stimulates appetite.
When the cat licks itself clean, hairballs can form in the stomach, disrupting digestion. The hairs stick together in the stomach and form a ball. If vomited, it gets stretched through the oesophagus. Hairballs can also become hard, making them impossible to vomit out, and these get stuck in the stomach. These can therefore only be removed surgically. Characteristics of a stuck hairball are: eating more often with smaller amounts and chronic vomiting and gradual weight loss. Also, little exercise increases the risk of hairballs.
This mild cat malt is a complementary pet food. It soaks any hairballs present, lightly promoting intestinal passage whereby no thin stools are caused. Mild cat malt has a pleasant taste and therefore does not cause any problems with administration. It also stimulates appetite and can be used in cats with poorer appetites.
