Effipro Spray

Effipro contains fipronil as the active substance. Fipronil is most commonly used worldwide as a flea and tick control agent. Effipro is available as Effipro spot-on for dogs, Effipro spot-on for cats and a spray suitable for dogs and cats. In addition to fleas and ticks, the spray also works against lice in dogs and cats. Virbac Effipro Spray is effective against fleas for up to 6 weeks and against ticks for up to 4 weeks in cats. If you use the spray for the dog, it is protected against fleas for up to 3 months and against ticks for up to 4 weeks, depending on the environmental pressure.

Suitable for

• Control of fleas (Ctenocephalides spp.) in dogs and cats.
• Control of ticks (Ixodes ricinus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus) in dogs and cats.
• Control of biting lice in dogs (Trichodectes canis) and cats (Felicola subrostratus).

This veterinary medicinal product can be used as part of a treatment strategy against flea allergic dermatitis.

Operation

• Works for up to 6 weeks against new infections of adult fleas in cats (depending on environmental pressure).
• Effective for up to 3 months against new infections of adult fleas in dogs (depending on environmental pressure).
• Works against ticks for up to 4 weeks (depending on ambient pressure).

Not suitable for

• Puppies younger than 2 days
• Kittens younger than 2 days
• Rabbits (toxic, high risk of mortality)
• Sick or convalescent animals
• Animals with hypersensitivity to the active agent or any of the ingredients.

Dosage

• 100 ml bottle: 6-12 pumps per kg of body weight
• 250 ml bottle: 2-4 pumps per kg of body weight
• 500 ml bottle: 1-2 pumps per kg of body weight

Administration

Using 3-6 ml per kg of body weight, spray Effipro onto your pet and make sure that the entire coat is thoroughly moistened. Rub into the fur, especially in long-coated animals, so that the product reaches the skin. When treating the head, young animals, or nervous animals, the product can be sprayed onto a glove and then rubbed into the coat. Allow your pet to air dry. Do not use a towel to dry the animal.
