Groene Os Glucosamine Complex for dogs and cats is a food supplement consisting of various minerals and vitamins, which can help build and maintain healthy cartilage, in turn contributing to the improved condition of joints.

Glucosamine Complex powder is used to support the musculoskeletal system in both dogs and cats. It supports the good condition of joints, cartilage, ligaments, muscles, and tendons, also contributing to the proper formation of bone and fluid level (joint lubricating fluid).

Dosage:

Food supplement for dogs, cats, ponies and horses. Unless a veterinarian or therapist prescribes otherwise, start with 1 measuring scoop per day. When improvements are visible, slowly reduce to the maintenance dose:

Wet the powder or (concentrated) food to avoid it being blown out of the bowl.

The composition of the dog/cat and horse/pony complexes is identical, however the contents of the latter is larger as the daily dosage for a horse is often considerably higher. For regular use, the large pack may be more suitable for your cat or dog.

Not suitable for:

There are no known illnesses or other (prescription) drugs with which Glucosamine Complex may not be used. However, use during pregnancy or lactation should be in consultation with a veterinarian and/or therapist.

Ingredients

Calcium citrate, magnesium citrate, glucosamine KCL sulphate, chondroitin sulphate (90%), ascorbic acid, methylsulfonylmethane.

Key features of each ingredient:

• The most important property of Groene Os Glucosamine Complex is that the product is able to produce proteoglycans. Proteoglycans, together with water, form the main components of synovial fluid. Problems caused by a lack of synovial fluid can be reduced significantly. Movement becomes easier and with increased movement, the metabolic rate of the joints can increase again.
• Glycosaminoglycans constitute the basic structure of the cartilage, these are formed by glucosamine and chondroitin. Chondroitin also contributes to an increase in the hyaluronic acid content. This acid acts as a lubricant in the joints.
• MSM is the supplier of the main sulphur compounds necessary for the production of collagen and keratin and the (re)construction of cartilage.
• Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) is essential for the production of connective tissue and cartilage, it also inhibits the degradation of glycosaminoglycans.
• Calcium and magnesium citrate are easily digestible and used as the building blocks for bones and joints etc. Connective tissue also makes use of calcium and magnesium citrate in its recovery.
• Magnesium contributes to good muscle relaxation.
