Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease
FLUTD is a condition that is associated with the formation of crystals in the urinary tract that can cause your cat pain. The two most common types of crystals that can occur in your cat's urinary tract are struvite and oxalate. Prescription Diet Feline c/d diet food is specially formulated for the treatment and prevention of struvite-related FLUTD. Struvite crystals are formed when urine is saturated with magnesium, ammonium and phosphorus, combined with alkaline urine pH.
