Renewed composition! The trusted Prescription Diet i/d wet food is now enhanced with Hill's ActivBiome+ ingredient technology. A transition period of 7 days is advised.

Hill's Prescription Diet i/d Low fat is a complete, balanced food for adult dogs. Canine i/d Low fat does not provide sufficient energy for growing puppies, or pregnant or lactating bitches. It is easily digestible with plenty of nutrients. This diet food is particularly suitable for dogs with gastrointestinal disorders that respond well to a food with a low fat content. The smooth texture and reduced fat content can lead to a reduction in vomiting. Stomach flora will be able to recover faster thanks to the increased levels of soluble fibre. An increased vitamin B complex content can help restore nutrient losses as a result of vomiting and diarrhoea. Hill's Prescription Diet i/d Low Fat contains a superior antioxidant formula which reduces oxidative cell damage.

    Gastrointestinal disorders in dogs

Gastrointestinal (GI) disorders may affect the stomach and intestines, or even both. These disorders can cause vomiting, indigestion, diarrhoea or constipation. Animals may lose weight and become dehydrated as a result. Some common gastrointestinal disorder symptoms include vomiting, flatulence, weakness, diarrhoea and constipation. Gastrointestinal disorders that can be treated with a diet with a low fat content include gastritis, enteritis, and colitis (i.e. most causes of diarrhoea, plus malabsorption and bacterial overgrowth). The Canine i/d Low Fat diet can also be used in dogs with pancreatitis, exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, hyperlipidaemia and lymphangiectasia.[ With ActivBiome+ technology; a unique blend of prebiotics shown to rapidly nourish the gut microbiome to support digestion and well-being of your dog
