Hippo Sol

Hippo Sol is a resin based disinfectant hoof spray. Hippo Sol also provides protection against thrush and other hoof defects.

When thrush is present, coverage must be effective and sufficient. Hippo Sol nourishes hooves and aids in the exchange of air and moisture due to its active ingredients, including pine resin, laurel oil and lanolin. It promotes growth, faster healing and greater elasticity in the horny keratin layer of hooves, and helps in the prevention of hoof diseases. It is not surprising, then, that Hippo Sol is the special hoof spray most commonly used by farriers. Hippo Sol is suitable for use during dry periods, after trimming and before or after the grazing season.

Instructions:

For problems such as thrush, 1x daily application is required. If the hooves are healthy, a 1x weekly application is sufficient.

Apply to dry hooves. After using Hippo Sol leave to dry for 5 to 10 minutes before the horse is put in the stable.

Clean the hoof thoroughly and spray Hippo Sol liberally on the underside, paying special attention to the frog, the sole and the coronet band. Allow to dry for about 10 minutes. After use, keep the spray bottle upside down and press the button until only propellant gas is emitted. To maintain healthy, strong hooves it is advised that you use Hippo Sol weekly.

Storage advice:

Store in a cool, dry place.
