Kaopectate is a food supplement that can be used for dogs, cats and foals with loose stools caused by gastrointestinal problems.

Absorbing properties:

Kaopectate is an aromatic suspension of pectin and kaolin. The pure, colloidal kaolin has absorption properties to counter both bacteria and toxins as well as foul intestinal matter. Pectin also has an absorbent action and, together with the kaolin has a soothing effect on the affected intestinal wall.

Dosage

To be given over 3-4 doses, two or three times a day

• Dogs: Orally 15-120 ml per day
• Cats: Orally 9-40 ml per day
• Foals: Orally 90-240 ml per day

Please note:

Kaopectate should not be used on pregnant or lactating females, unless otherwise advised by your veterinarian.
