Product Description
Kat-a-lax
Kat-a-lax dissolves hairballs and acts as a laxative agent to treat and prevent constipation and problems caused by hairballs in cats.
Hairballs:
Cats lick their fur clean on a daily basis. By doing this they swallow many hairs that eventually form into hairballs in their stomach. They will regularly vomit out these hairballs, but every so often these can become stuck in the small intestines. This is known as hairball constipation. The cat's appetite will begin to deteriorate and they will also stop producing faeces. Vomiting is also a common symptom. This can be difficult to observe in outdoor cats as they tend to become quieter and skinny. A real hairball is caused by lots of licking, also known as washing.
Content
56.7 grams
Dosage:
- Removal of hairballs: Administer 1.5 to 2 cm of paste orally once or twice a day; for kittens administer less 1 cm of paste orally once or twice a day.
- Preventing hairballs: 2 or 3 times a week; administer about 1.5 cm of paste orally by rubbing it on the cat's paw; administer less in younger cats.
Administration
You can let the cat lick the paste from your finger. If your cat won't do this, you can give the paste with its food. Another option is to rub the paste on your cat's paw, so it will lick its paw.
