Ophtosan Eye Ointment contains vitamin A and has a nurturing, soothing and protective effect on the cornea. Ophtosan Eye Ointment is suitable for cats and dogs.
Ophtosan Eye Ointment has been specifically developed for use after diagnosis and under supervision of a veterinarian. Before you can purchase this product, please confirm the following:
Your pet has been examined by a veterinarian, who has recommend this product after diagnosis.
You understand and agree that you should seek the advice of your veterinarian regarding the use of this product at least every 6 months.
You understand and agree that if your pet's condition should deteriorate in any way, you should immediately seek the advice of your veterinarian.
Store Ophtosan Eye Ointment at room temperature for optimal fluidity. Apply ointment locally to the eye. It is important that the tip of the bottle does not come into contact with the eye or the eyelashes. If this happens, your cat or dog's eye reflex will make them close their eye.
Dosage:
Two to four times a day, apply a small amount to the eyeball.
Storage:
Store at room temperature (15-25°C). Keep out of reach of children.
Packaging:
5 gram tube.

Can this be used for my rabbits eye?

Good Question! This product is specially developed for dogs and cats. If you already happen to have this product at home, you can use this for your rabbit's eyes. However, we do recommend getting a product that's developed with rabbits in mind, like the Beaphar Eye Gel.

I sent for this eye ointment for my rescue puppy as he has an eye discharge. However, I have been cautious about using it because the instructions were not in English so I have no idea what the ointment contains or how it is meant to be used.
