Orijen Cat Food

Dogs and cats are natural carnivores, biologically adapted to thrive on a diet rich and varied in fresh meat and fresh fish, supplemented with vegetables, fruits and grasses. Orijen has responded to this requirement by bringing Orijen Whole Prey onto the market in 2013. In contrast to the regular Orijen food, Whole Prey contains fresh ingredients, edible bones, chicken cartilage and bone marrow. In addition, Whole Prey also contains organ meat, such as chicken hearts, chicken liver, lamb liver and green tripe. Orijen products are made with 80% meat, 20% fruits and vegetables and do not contain any cereals.

Whole Prey for Cats

Orijen Whole Prey contains fresh ingredients, edible bone, chicken cartilage and bone marrow. Whole Prey also contains fresh offal, such as chicken hearts, chicken liver, lamb liver and green tripe. Orijen products are made with 80% meat, 20% fruit and vegetables and no added grains. With these diets, Orijen wants to imitate the natural diet of wild cats.

Freeze Dried for Cats

In addition to Whole Prey, Orijen also offers a product range that consists of freeze-dried foods and treats. The ingredients are frozen for 18 hours. The temperature in the freezer drops to -50°C. During this process, the water in the ingredients freezes and evaporates without losing important nutrients. An example of a Freeze Dried food is the Orijen Cat Treats Freeze Dried.

Orijen Cat Nutrition

Cats are carnivores, which means they need meat and fish and only need small amounts of vegetables, fruits and herbs. Orijen thus mimics the cat’s natural diet. Your cat then gets the same nutrients as wild cats with the food from Orijen. Orijen makes pet food according to the Biologically Appropriate principle. This cat food consists of 100% natural ingredients, which are also approved for human consumption. In addition, the food of Orijen, just like Acana, contains no added colouring and flavourings.
