Orijen Whole Prey Regional Red Cat

Cats have evolved as carnivores, biologically adapted to thrive on a diet rich in fresh meat and fresh fish, supplemented with vegetables, fruits and grasses. The Orijen Whole Prey Regional Prey cat food is prepared using Black Angus beef, wild boar, Alberta lamb and bison. These ingredients are delivered to the producer fresh on a daily basis, making the food rich in high-quality nutrients. Orijen Whole Prey Regional Red is suitable for cats of all breeds and sizes.

    Orijen

Orijen's natural pet food is made using fresh, local ingredients. The evolution of dogs and cats is taken into account when selecting the ingredients. Historically, their food consisted of fresh meat and was rich in protein. The ingredients are locally sourced (Alberta, Canada). Orijen Biologically Appropriate is prepared with ingredients that are derived of 80% meat and fish and 20% vegetables, fruit and herbs. It does not contain grains, potatoes, beet pulp or other ingredients.

    Biologically Appropriate

Biologically Appropriate animal food consists of nearly 100% fresh ingredients. The contents are adapted to the animal's natural requirements. Another facet of Biologically Appropriate is that the food is adapted to suit the animal's digestive system. This is why the products are grain-free, free of aromas, colourings, flavourings and other additives, GMO (Genetically Modified Organisms) and antibiotics.

I wish this was a bit cheaper , my cat is a rescue and I have vet bills and this food is a bit too expensive .

  • Orijem cat
By Eileen Whiddett, Sunday 8 January 2017

My cat doesn't have fleas but vet said he had a flea allergy. His fur was going bald. I fed him Origen Red and it improved. Because it was expensive I changed to another brand. Since then his fur his deteriorated. So, I'm back on ordering Origen. Wish it was cheaper, because I've rescued a dog now too, and woujld like the same for him.
