Otimectin

Otimectin is an ear gel specially developed for the treatment of ear mites in cats..

Instructions

Exclusively for local use in the ear canal. The ear gel contains the active ingredient ivermectin, 1 g. gel contains 1 mg. ivermectin. Completely fill the ear canal with Otimectin and massage gently until the liquid is evenly distributed in the ear canal (equivalent to 1 mg. Ivermectin). Always treat both ears. Repeat the treatment after 7 and 14 days. A follow-up consultation with your veterinarian is necessary as some animals may require a second treatment.

Do not apply in:

• Cats with a perforated eardrum, or if you're not sure whether the eardrum is intact (For confirmation in this, check with your vet).
• Cats with a damaged external ear canal as a result of chronic inflammation(s).
• Cats with systemic abnormalities.
• Cats younger than 16 weeks.
• Animals other than cats.

Make sure no gel comes into contact with your animal's eyes or mouth.

Special precautions for use in animals:

All cats that come into contact with each other have to be treated against ear mites. Other sensitive pets (dogs, ferrets) that come into contact with treated cats should also be treated in a similar way (not with Otimectin).
