Newborn foals are very vulnerable. It is important that their immune system can develop properly. As soon as a foal is born, it has a limited immune system. Through the ingestion of colostrum, a foal receives antibodies. Colostrum contains immunoglobulins (antibodies). The amount of immunoglobulins in colostrum varies per mare. An insufficient amount of antibodies makes the foal more susceptible to diseases. Pavo Kickstart contains colostrum powder which is a good source of immunoglobulins. Pavo Kick Start also contains yeast which stimulates the immune system and also promotes intestinal defence. Growing is hard work, which is why Pavo Kick Start contains some extra energy.

Usage

Give the first Pavo Kick Start syringe after the first colostrum intake and the second within the next 24 hours.

Tip for easy syringe administration: Stand quietly next to your foal and stroke the corner of its mouth first. Then gently try to open the mouth by gently sliding your finger into the corner of the mouth. Once the foal opens its mouth, you can easily insert the syringe and empty it.
