    PeeWee Litter Trays

Litter trays from PeeWee are based on sustainability. The tray is made up of two parts, a lower container and an upper box. The upper box features a grid. When the cat uses the litter tray, 90% of the urine will filter through the grid of the upper box into the lower container. The residue is absorbed into the pellets in the upper box, which disintegrate into sawdust. This sawdust will fall through the holes when the cat digs, keeping the pellets in the upper box clean. The tray also keeps the cat's paws clean and dry, so no paw prints are left outside the litter tray.

    PeeWee EcoDome

The PeeWee EcoDome is a sturdy, extra large, closed litter tray for big cat breeds (including the Maine Coon and Norwegian Forest cat). For normal-sized cats there is PeeWee EcoHus. The material in the top absorbs odours. This litter tray is available in 3 colour combinations.

    PeeWee Wood Pellets

The wood pellets from PeeWee are made from the sawdust of the Swedish spruce. These wood pellets are 100% biodegradable. The granules absorb plenty of moisture and give a fresh pine scent. No leaves or bark are added to these granules during the production process.

For best results, use the PeeWee EcoDome in conjunction with the PeeWee Wood Pellets. The PeeWee Wood Pellets are formulated so they that are perfect to use in combination with the PeeWee Litter Trays. And because you only need a 2cm layer, a 14 litre bag of wood pellets can last for around 4 months!

    Use

    • First place a handful of cat litter in the bottom tray.
    • Remove the upper box from the bottom tray and fill it with a 2 cm layer of pellets.
    • Remove excrement daily to keep the pellets clean.
    • Empty the bottom tray when it is almost full (around once per week). The more sawdust is in the bottom tray, the more the odour can be absorbed.
    • Do not use an abrasive sponge to clean the bottom part, as it can cause small scratches which are a hotbed for bacteria.

The PeeWee EcoHus features a video which demonstrates how the PeeWee litter trays work.

Please note! The product PeeWee EcoDome - Hood - including Filter cover does not include handles and clips.

PeeWee EcoDome - Litter Tray reviews
  • Well designed and good size
By Lynne Simpson, Tuesday 1 October 2024

My 7 month old ragdoll had outgrown his large litter box so I was looking for something bigger. I also wanted to switch to a sifting system, as the price of clumping litter has gone up so much. I was a bit concerned that this would look huge in the house but it is actually well camouflaged in its place. Finley now fits in and litter tracking is a thing of the past. The product was despatched and delivered very quickly and I would recommend this product for larger cats or multi cat households. It usefully comes with a starter pack of wood pellets too.

  • Best odour control ever
By Sarah, Tuesday 24 September 2024

I cannot recommend highly enough. It's zero tracking and super easy to clean. With 2 indoor cats, I quick clean twice a week - shake top sieve tray and move sawdust through to base. Empty base tray and antibac wipe, scatter few handfuls of pellets from top tray into base, replace top tray and top it up. All done in 5 minutes. Occasionally empty top sieve tray into base then clean wipe top sieve tray then empty base back into top leaving the requisite few handfuls in base. So much better for odour control than any other type of litter.

  • Replacement clips for cat litter tray.
By Peter Berry, Wednesday 31 July 2024

I have a Savic Nestor Jumbo XXL tray, where 3 out of 4 sealing clips had broken. As the company is Belgian, I was unable to purchase replacement clips for delivery to the UK. As a last resort, I tried the PeeWee EcoDome replacement clips: with only a light shaving of the catch using a knife, they work perfectly!

  • It,s ok but there is a but
By Andy stewart, Tuesday 20 February 2024

I do like the large cat box and my only complaint about is the sieve part wish the hole,s were abit bigger as the cat litter they give u with this box is a struggle so wot,s the other cat litter going to b like (wood pellets) is all I use

  • Disappointed
By Amy, Thursday 16 September 2021

I ordered two of these (one from a different store) and it has turned out to be such a waste of money. The little bag of pellets that comes with the large eco dome is definitely not enough to last 4 months. A whole bag is *just* enough to cover the grate in the bottom of the box. 2 weeks in and most of it is just piles of sawdust - it is *meant* to be scraped into the bottom through the grate by cats digging around, but they don't actually put their paws in piles of wet litter (they cover it with dry pellets) so it has ultimately just formed little mounds of sawdust. I have been trying to seive it all through using a litter scoop, only now the bottom is full up in some spots so it means dragging around the litter (it's too fine to scoop out like normal litter) - there's no way a cat would do this so the powdered litter just ends up sitting on the box, completely negating the point of the design. Not only that, but emptying out the bottom bit is a two person job, or you need to find something to put what is effectively a dirty litter seive to one side while you empty the bottom (or throw out all the unused litter that's left) Also cats with diarrhoea + seive = bad.
