Pestigon Spot-on for cats

Pestigon Spot-on! for cats is a clear, colourless to pale yellow solution in a pipette form specifically (and only) designed for external use.

Composition:

Contains Fipronil, Butylhydroxyanisole (E320) and butylhydroxytoluene (E321).

How does it work?

Pestigon Spot-on! has an immediate and long lasting insecticidal effect against new infestations (presence of pests on or in the body) with adult fleas for up to 5 weeks. Please note: does not protect against ticks.

Administration:

1. Hold the pipette upright.
2. Tap the narrow part of the pipette to ensure that contents are at the bottom of the pipette.
3. Push the degradable portion of the tip of the pipette along the dotted line to the rear.
4. Spread the coat between the shoulders until the skin is visible.
5. Place the tip of the pipette on the skin and squeeze the entire contents on to the skin, preferably at two locations, one at the base of the skull and then 2-3 cm further back.

Do not give:

Product not to be given to kittens under 8 weeks and/or lighter than 1 kg. Do not use on sick (systemic diseases, fever) or convalescent animals. Do not use in rabbits, as adverse reactions and even death could occur. This product is specifically developed for cats. For dogs, there is the Pestigon Spot-on! dog pipettes. Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.

Watch out:

When used as part of a treatment for flea induced dermatitis, it is recommended that the allergic cat and any other cats be treated in the home on a monthly basis. For optimum treatment of fleas in households with multiple pets, all cats (and dogs) must be treated with a suitable insecticide. Avoid frequent washing (or swimming) because the efficacy of the product in combination with a lot of water is still unclear. Please also note that fleas from pets often infest blankets and habitual resting places, such as carpets and furniture. For large infestations, use an appropriate insecticide and regularly vacuum the area.
