    Poultex

Poultex is a bandage for several applications for the treatment of wounds and injuries. It can be used wet and dry. The correct amount of water ensures the dirt is absorbed well.

    Recommended for

    • Abscess
    • Hoof problems
    • Wounds
    • Injured tendons
    • Infections
    • Lumps
    • Scrapes

    Dry bandage

To be used for damaged tissue, lumps, sores, friction spots or extruding calluses on pressure points. If the skin is extremely dry or torn, it is better to first administer a wet compress to soften it.

    Suitable for:

    • Maximum drainage of exudate
    • Stopping bleeding
    • Cleaning and quicker healing
    • Limiting swelling and local fluid accumulation

    Wet bandage

When you wet the bandage, it is important to first check the temperature on your own skin, so the bandage is not too hot or cold. The cold bandage can be cool, but not frozen. Replace the wet bandage every 8 hours. The bandage can be prepared at room temperature and stored in an activation bag. The bandage should then be used within 12 hours.

Warm and wet bandage suitable for:

    • Draining exudate of infected or dirty wounds and abscesses
    • Removing thorns and splinters
    • Improving blood circulation

Cold and wet bandage suitable for:

    • Reducing bruising and swelling
    • Reducing the subcutaneous infection
    • Alleviating pain

    Use

You start by cleaning the area concerned, so the bandage is applied to a clean area. You can then use the activator bag to wet the pad. Use boiled water that has cooled. Fill the bag with water up to the correct line, depending on the size of the bandage. Fill the bag up to measurement line D when using the 10 by 10cm bandage. Then seal the bag and massage the bandage for good saturation. You can now remove the bandage from the bag and apply it to the correct place. The bandage may not be applied too tightly or overlap itself.
