What is a Hotspot?

A hotspot is a wet burning blemish spot that can develop very quickly. A burning sensation is the trigger for this. To break through this stimulus, the dog starts biting, licking and scratching. The skin breaks down and the dog keeps biting and licking, which only makes the spot more fiery and burning, which in turn gives more cause for licking and biting. The vicious cycle that is now being created ensures that the spot can grow bigger very quickly.

The aim is to stop the burning stimulus in order for the spot to heal. If you then also notice that your dog has a hotspot, cut away the hair around the spot so that the spot can ""breathe"". You can then apply PUUR's Hotspot Foam 1-4 times a day and massage lightly if necessary. Shake well before use.

Ingredients

The Foam contains natural ingredients that quickly reduce the burning itch. It cools and soothes the skin and this provides relief so that the area can recover. The Foam has a bitter taste that also makes it unattractive for the dog to lick the spot.

Dosage

• 1 to 4 times daily: spray foam on the hotspot and massage if necessary
• Use externally only
• Avoid contact with eyes
• Shake well before use
• DON'T use on cats

Please do not store in direct sunlight but do keep dry and at room temperature

Composition

Active ingredients of natural origin

• Aloe barbadensis leaf juice powder and Aloe vera has soothing, relieving effects and promotes skin repair.
• Cymbopogon flexuosus herb oil and Lemongrass oil; has cooling and calming properties.
• Melaleuca alternifolia leaf oil and Tea tree oil; works to repair skin and makes it unappealing. Camellia sinensis leaf extract and Green tea; relieves and stimulates dehydration of the skin.
• Chamomilla recutita flower extract and Chamomile has soothing properties. It has a beneficial effect on skin repair.

Functional ingredients

• Disodium cocoyl glutamate; cleansing and foaming, very mild, extracted from coconut oil.
• PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil; hydrogenated plant oil, has light conditioning properties, emulsifier (solvent) for the oils used.
• Benzyl alcohol; natural substance, preservative, solvent.
• Sodium benzoate, sodium benzoate; preservative.
• Citric acid, citric acid; antioxidant, preservative.
• Tocopheryl acetate; antioxidant.
• Denatonium benzoate, Byte-X; bitter taste prevents licking.
• Maltodextrin; stabiliser.
• Silica; can absorb moisture; gives emulsions consistency.
