Puur Podo
In laminitis, laminitis blood vessels of the hoof dermis are damaged, fluid is excreted and the swelling in the hoof can be very painful. When suffering from laminitis, the diet should be adjusted to include good quality hay (avoid concentrates). Of course, you should also administer the proper pain relief. Allowing your horse to roam around in wet sand will allow some relief from the symptoms. Puur Podo should be applied preventatively at the start of spring, three days before grazing.
Administration
In acute conditions, the duration of the treatment is relatively short. This may vary from 1 to 3 weeks. In case of improvement, continue to administer this product for a few more days. For long-term discomfort, the effect is usually visible after 1 to 3 weeks. After improvement switch to a maintenance dose. This is usually one half of the dosage indicated on the packaging. When dosing this product, pay close attention to your pet's reaction. In the beginning, a higher dosage may be required. This product can be safely given in a double dosage. Reduce the dosage gradually to the lowest possible dose when symptoms reduce or disappear.
In chronic conditions, this product can be used indefinitely. It is advised that a stop week is used every 6 to 8 weeks. The stimulus can be reintroduced after the stop week. Resume treatment immediately if symptoms worsen.
Dosage
The optimal dosage is 1-3 times daily:
- Horse: 20 drops
- Pony: 15 drops
When the product is used as a preventive dose, 1-2 times daily:
- Horse: 15 drops
- Pony: 10 drops
Composition
Aqua, Ginkgo biloba (Japanese walnut), Rosmarinus officinalis (Rosemary), Zingiber officinale (Ginger). Alcohol 35% v/v.
Additives natural aromatic substances per ml: Garlic (Allium sativum) 0.25 ml.
