Product Description
Puur Pseudo Pregnancy
Puur Pseudo Pregnancy is a food supplement that can be administered to animals that exhibit the phenomenon of false pregnancy due to an abnormality after oestrus. Puur Pseudo Pregnancy is suitable for rabbits, cats and dogs.
Behaviour changes
Often, the first sign of a pseudo pregnancy is when female dogs behave differently after oestrus. In genuinely pregnant animals, this is when progesterone levels increase, and the same happens in female dogs that are not pregnant. After birth, this progesterone level naturally dwindles and the prolactin hormone causes milk production. This also has an effect on the behaviour of female dogs.
Symptoms
Many pseudo pregnant animals like to hide away. They may dig a hole or become snappy, eat less and be more reluctant to go outside. Other female dogs may become whiney or clingy. Some female dogs will even go in search of a surrogate infant; this could be another puppy, a kitten or even socks, slippers or toys, which she will haul back to her nest. Pseudo pregnancies can be very distressing, both for the animal and the owner.
Puur Pseudo Pregnancy dosage
Unless prescribed otherwise by your veterinarian, 3 x daily:
Recommended dose Target species Optimal dose Dog 10 - 15 drops Cat 6 - 10 drops Rabbit 3 - 5 drops 20 drops = approx. 1 ml. Administration
Start giving Puur Pseudo Pregnancy at the end of the oestrus cycle until such time as a genuine gestation period would be complete. In very serious cases, it may be necessary to prolong treatment or consult with your veterinarian. When administering Puur Pseudo Pregnancy, if there is no change in behaviour after 3 days to a week, the dosage may be increased. This treatment can be given directly into the mouth or diluted with a little water using a plastic spoon or syringe to the back of the animal's mouth. Alternatively, soak it into a suitable animal treat. This acts as a food supplement.
Composition
Devil's dung (Asa foetida), oats (Avena sativa), true sage (Salvia officinalis). Alcohol 29% v/v.
