Royal Canin Anallergenic

Does your dog or cat often have itchy skin? Or does your buddy vomit up the food as soon as he or she has eaten it? Then your pet might have a food allergy or hypersensitivity. For these pets Royal Canin has developed the Anallergenic diets. This food is developed for dogs and cats that still have a bad reaction to hypoallergenic food. Royal Canin Anallergenic is free of ingredients that can trigger an allergic reaction and can be fed long-term.

Hydrolysed protein

The diet contains proteins that are extensively hydrolysed. This means that the protein is cut into such small portions that the body barely registers it when your pet eats them. the diet also helps to reduce the risk of an allergic reaction thanks to its use of carefully selected sources of protein and carbohydrates. Plus, the formula helps to support the skin’s natural protective barrier and the synergistic complex of antioxidants helps neutralise free radicals.

Food allergy or food intolerance?

If your pet is showing signs of health issues that are related to food, then we consider the adverse reaction a food allergy. A food allergy is always linked to allergic reactions, like a rash or vomiting. In all other cases, we consider the adverse reaction a food intolerance. For example, an intolerance for lactose where the lack of lactase is responsible for the reaction. Or a food poisoning where a toxin causes an adverse reaction.
