Seresto: The new long-acting agent against ticks and fleas

Seresto is a unique new flea collar that lasts for 8 months. During this time, the collar continuously releases a low dose of the two active substances, Imidacloprid and Flumethrin, keeping your dog protected from fleas and ticks.

How does Seresto work?

The two active substances are distributed via the collar over the skin and fur of your dog. The collar protects against, and kills, ticks. We recommend removing any existing ticks on your dog prior to putting the collar on. In addition, Seresto protects against the development of flea larvae, and can be used as a treatment for lice infestations (Trichodectes canis). Safe and effective

The low dosage of the active ingredients in Seresto ensures it is safe for both humans and animals. The collar is designed to prevent suffocation and strangulation. Should your dog get stuck, a built-in safety opening mechanism gives way, releasing the collar.

Seresto should not be used in puppies under the age of 7 weeks. or in dogs with hypersensitivity to Imidacloprid and Flumethrin. For cats, there is a separate collar available: Seresto Cat

Dosage:

One collar per animal is placed round the neck. Dogs up to 8 kg body weight require the 38 cm Seresto collar. Dogs over 8 kg should use the 70 cm Seresto collar.
