The CKD-XS Heart & Kidney Support of Specific is the minor variant of the Specific CKD. This version contains smaller kibbles, making it great for small dog breeds.

Properties

• The added l-carnitine and taurine contribute to the function of the heart muscle
• The increased zinc content supports the reduction of protein breakdown in the muscles
• Made extra tasty, for when the dog has less appetite
• Limited protein and phosphorus content, which puts less strain on the kidneys
• Potassium citrate limits the risk of calcium oxalate

Indications for use

• Heart failure, hypertension, edema
• Chronic renal insufficiency
• Hepatic insufficiency (except in dogs with cholestasis)
• Urate, oxalate or cystine grit or stones

• Pups and pregnant or lactating dogs
• Dogs with a high protein requirement
• Dogs with cholestasis
• Dogs with struvite grit or stones
• Dogs with hyperlipidemia or pancreatitis
