Rabbits and other small animals don't do very well in the heat. Rabbits, for example, start having difficulties cooling themselves down as soon as outside temperatures climb above 24ºC. Because of this, it's important to make sure that your rabbit or small pet has enough shade in their outdoor enclosure. The net with sun protection by Trixie can be used on numerous enclosures, such as the Trixie Outdoor Run with Protective Net and provides shade as well as added protection from predators. It also helps decrease the chances of your rabbit or rodent jumping out of the enclosure.

Make sure your small animal has enough water and shade when outside in warm temperatures, and do not leave the run unsupervised.
