• The diet provides a lot of energy with a high fat content. As a result the animal's energy supply is maintained during the acute phase of a disease. The fat is in the branched amino acids valine, leucine and isoleucine.
• The diet allows for rehydration. This is because water is added to the feed, and the diet also contains a higher content of sodium and potassium to compensate their loss and meets the vitamin C requirements of the animal.
• The food activates intestinal flora and encourages proper bowel movement with a mixture of fibres, including fructooligosaccharides (FOS), which have a variable rate of fermentation and good micro- and macro-nutrients included.
• The added arginine in this diet also helps convert ammonia into natural waste products.
• Enriched with glutamine, Omega-3 fatty acid and alpha-linolenic acid, TROVET Recovery RSH Small Herbivores stimulates the immune system and the intestinal barrier.
• The decay of body proteins is countered by a high content of protein with high digestibility and optimum amino acid composition.
• Finally, this food has added zinc which slows the degradation of muscle in the animal and expedites the healing of wounds.

Use

One sachet of TROVET Recovery RSH Small Herbivores contains 20g of nutrition in powder form to be mixed with 70ml lukewarm water. Only make as much as you need each time, shelf life is only 12 hours when mixed. Keep unused sachets airtight. TROVET Recovery RSH Small Herbivores is administered at room temperature over several small amounts at regular intervals. The desired dosage level should gradually increase over a period of 2 to 4 days.
